Foreclosure Prevention
People who are unrepresented by counsel are twice as likely to lose their home in a foreclosure case than people with a lawyer. These are cases where legal aid often connects the family to additional community resources, weaving a community network of support and possibility that builds community cohesion and strengthens social capital.
